도시의 색 - 청자의 빛깔과 같은 푸른색 (유리창). 아침부터 새벽까지…

지금 내가 존재하는 도시(공간)의 색은 무엇일까. 쉽사리 답변이 떠오르지 않는다. 사계절 변화가 주는 자연의 색으로 표현해야 할지 아니면 건물의 색이나 사람들 의 옷차림에서 찾아야 할지 선뜻 답변이 어려운 질문이다. 어디를 둘러봐도 높은 빌딩 숲, 마천루, 그리고 아파트… 쉽게 색이 떠오르지 않는다. 

유리창을 통해 도시의 색을 표현하고자 한다. 유리창은 도시의 풍경을 반영하는 거울과도 같다. 그 안에는 자연의 색, 건물의 색, 사람들의 색이 모두 담겨있다. 우리는 유리창을 통해 도시의 색을 포착하고, 그 속에서 새로운 색을 발견한다.

I want to express the color of the city through the glass window. Glass windows are like mirrors that reflect the city landscape. It contains the colors of nature, the colors of buildings, and the colors of people. We capture the colors of the city through the windows, and discover new colors in them.

이제는 삶의 경계된 넓다란 아스파트길 너머로 혹은 빽빽한 아파트와 빌딩 꼭대기를 통과해 저 높은 하늘을 흘끗 올려다보기만해도 우리는 거기에서 텅 빈 공간과 아무것도 점유하지 않는 공간이 우리를 유혹하고 있다는 걸 발견 할 것이다.
장소의 동일화는 현대 사회의 심각한 문제이다. 그러나 이러한 문제는 인간에게 장소에 대한 새로운 감수성을 일깨워준 계기가 되었다. 이제 우리는 장소의 차이를 통해 자신과 타자를 구별하고, 자신을 정체화할 수 있는 방법을 모색해야 한다.
